When you get a new computer, you might spend a few hours downloading your favorite apps, installing them, and restarting the computer after the install. This can be a real time killer when you just want to get started and get your work done.

The first video in this week’s Monday Productivity Pointers focuses on an app for the PC that makes transitioning to a new computer a breeze. The app is called Ninite, and it’s free. With a few mouse clicks, you choose the apps you want to install, and Ninite creates one installer that contains all the apps you chose. Because it’s a cloud solution, you can always be sure you’re installing the latest version of each app.

Mac users, don’t worry! The second (members-only) video is for you. I’ll feature a website called Get Mac Apps that lets you choose your apps and install them in one go. Watch this week’s videos to get an edge on upgrading your system, and be sure to check back next week for more Productivity Pointers.
