I agree with you 100%. In our business, we try to implement these rules on a daily basis. Keeping old style web design, and new tricks learned everyday, keeps the web design industry growing!
I like the article but I don’t know that preserving is a good route to go in this industry. It’s constantly growing and changing and preservation within of resources within web design only accomplishes one thing and that’s to take it to the next level. I guess then it is a good idea. Maybe the main purpose of it is to help evolve the web design industry.
