Get ready for Oscar® night: Watch nominees speak at Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Published by | Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Before you commit to your Oscar® pool choices, get some insider information straight from the source. There’s still time to watch Santa Barbara International Film Festival: Industry Panels at lynda.com, and hear tips, inspirations, and behind-the-scenes stories from some of the nominees themselves.

I was able to attend two of the four panels with our crew, and I’ve since watched the other two. They’re amazing. It’s rare to have an opportunity to be in the room with many of the major players in the competition for the Academy Awards®. Directors, screenwriters, and producers from all of my favorite contenders were there to share anecdotes, insight into their craft, and answer questions. Be sure to watch the entire 4+ hours of panels—all are free to watch for everyone, both lynda.com members and non-members.

  1. Deborah Cornish says:

    Yay!! Kathryn Bigelow!!!

  2. It was a very satisfying Academy Awards program. We’re shooting another installment of Creative Inspirations with composer Mark Mothersbaugh. He was at the Oscars last night checking out the best original score category. Mark scored the animated film “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. And BTW, new DEVO album coming out this summer!
