give the gift of!

‘Tis the season for giving, and all through the house
all the creatures were learning with the click of a mouse.

Whenever, whatever you’ve wanted to know
From designing a web site to Final Cut Pro,

Coldfusion and Keynote, for the courses you came,
You found what you needed to sharpen your game.

Now share what you’ve learned with ease and aplomb—
Give each creature you know some free!

Better than sweaters or baskets of fruit,
Give the power of knowledge and save lots of loot.

give the gift of!No shipping, no wrapping, no stress or strain—
Happy learning to all, and to all a smart brain.

It sure would be nice to have the option of giving a card with an activation code on it or whatever (a physical present, if you will), instead of the timed email gift. I want to give a subscription to my dad but he is so — what’s the word? — tech paranoid that he has spam filters turned way up and generally doesn’t trust emails from 3rd parties, doesn’t click on links, etc. Plus his inbox is so full and disorganized that he might forget about the message. I know, he’s a lot of work… but I think the physical card would increase the odds of him actually using the subscription.
